This morning at 8 Kevin's friend Ryan dropped the three of us off in
Hot Springs after a restful day off at a cabin outside of town. It's
now almost 1 pm and it's almost 90 degrees out so we're taking a slow
pace. Everything is great so far though. We've done 8 miles and are
shooting for about 14 total today.

Thank you everyone that took the time to send us stuff on the trail. The letters and food were appreciated and added excitement to our days.

For every mile Mr. DeVoe hikes, he will be donating a penny to the Groton environmental science club, Generation - Z. Kevin will be donating to The Nature Conservancy. If you are interested in helping either cause, please fill out the form below:

And the dog! Wonderful to finally see him. I see he gets to carry his own weight....let's see bones, treats, and food....bet that was hard deciding which bones to take.
Thought of you this morning when I put on lightweight sheets and opened the window. I do love spring/summer sleeping with the window open--my kind of nature sleeping.
I hope your having fun Mr. DeVoe we all miss you.

It looks like you are having a lot of fun.Does Lucy carry her ownfood?
Dear Mr. Devoe,
How far have you traveled in all now?
from,
Sarah
Glad to read that you have company joining you on the trail. Trust me, it makes the time go so much faster when you have someone to share the trek. Please look for mail at both Hampton and Damascus post offices. Thank you for the trail map. The entry way bulletin boards feature Mr. DeVoe. This was an excellent addition. Not a day goes by that someone does not stop and look at the map to find out just where you are on the trail. We thought of you this weekend as we were driving through PA. Saw some 40+ windmills on the top of the rolling mountain tops.
