Just a quick update from my tent. Hiked 11 miles today in awesome
weather. I'll get the gps data up soon. I'll be meeting Kevin and Lucy
in about a week at Fontana Dam. No significant wildlife yet but I'm
staying in an area with a "bear watch". Is everyone ready for spring
break?

Chad - 9 pm Wed. night. Just tried to call you - phone off or out of range. Saw your picture in the tent. Sorry we missed your call last night. Been reading the journal of someone hiking now also. Saw the hostel that you stayed at last night. Is Nees Gap coming up? Some pesky bear is supposed to be eating everyone's food. Give us a call when you get to Unicoi Gap and there is a shelter in Low Gap.
Sounds like you had a cold night the other night. Take care and keep warm.
Love, Mom and Dad
I hope that you are using sunscreen on your face! (sorry for being parental)
Hey Chad,
Will be heading for Atlanta this evening. Probably will be in the Smokies of NC on Saturday. Will try to raise you on the cell.
How about posting your Lat & Lon when you end your day. Nice to know where you're at.
